because we were able to relax,
because Joby, who recorded it,
just was doing such a good job,
it meant that we weren't
so worried
about the recording, the sounds.
And also, Joby's a superb songwriter,
and when you work with another superb
songwriter
who brings new stuff to the table,
Not just middle eights,
but whole sections just like
why don't you throw in an
instrumental section
between that verse
and that pre -chorus and you're like
Okay, and you do it
and it sounds amazing and stuff.
You wouldn't have thought of
and he takes you outside the box
So yeah, there's this kind of
there's been sort of evolutions
in terms of that,
but it's still
Always rooted in in the pop song.
You've got to be able to
sing along.
