Larry dug a hole in
his mother's garden
He rolled up in a ball and jumped inside
I poured water all around him,
I covered him with fertilizer an d he began to grow.
My word, have a look at that boy.
He's gone and changed him
self into a sunflower.
Ridiculous.
His arms started turning green,
his hair turned yellow
Mommy,
Larry's bleached his hair!
His legs got skinny and then they
grew into the ground
He's here turning to leaves
Now here's the part nobody
believes at all
There is a sunflower now
He's grown past the trees
He's grown past the clouds
And now we'll have scenes
All summer long
Don't know if he can hear
But we'll sing him this song
He's a sunflower now
Larry's mom was worried
I bet yours would be too
a bit worried about you.
But
Mum, I'm happy. I'm really,
really happy.
He's grown past the trees,
he's grown past the clouds
And now we'll have seeds
all summer long
There is a sunflower now
He's grown past the trees,
he's grown past the clouds
And now we'll have seeds
all summer long
Don't know if he can hear,
but we're singing this song
He's a sunflower now
Sunflower now
When the boy's gone and done it,
hasn't he?
Really, really done it this time
Sunflower now
Well, I should think the
Virgin
Mary should be happy
The sunflower can it, ever.
Absolutely wonderful,
when you think about it.
It's a glorious flower, really it is.
