See the tree,
how big it's grown
It really hasn't been too long
When it wasn't big I laughed
at her and she got mad
The first day that she had planted it,
it was just a twig
Then the first snow came,
and she ran out to brush the snow away
So it wouldn't die
Came running and all excited,
slipped and almost hurt herself
And I laughed till I cried
She was always young and hot and kind of dumb and kind of smart,
but I loved her so
I surprised her with a puppy
that kept me up all
Christmas
Eve two years ago
And it would sure embarrass her when
I came home from workin' late
Cause I would know that she'd
been sittin' there cryin'
Oh, by some sad and
sadly late -late show
And honey, I miss you
Oh, and I'm bein' good
And I'd to be with her again,
if only I could
Oh, she wrecked the car and she was sad
So afraid that I'd be mad
But oh, what the heck
Though I pretend it hard to be
I guess you could say she saw through
me and she hugged my neck
I came home unexpectedly
And found her crying needlessly
In the middle of the day
And it was in the early spring
When the flowers bloomed
and the robbers sing
Oh, she went away
Yes, one day while I wasn't home
and she was there all alone
Oh, the angels came
Now all I have is memories of honey
And I wake up at night so
old and I call her name
Now my life's an empty stage
Where honey lived and honey
played and love grew up
A small cloud passes overhead and
cries down in the flowerbed
Oh, that my honey loved her
And honey, I miss you
Oh, and I'm being good to you
Honey, honey,
honey, I'd love to be with you
If only I could do
Honey, honey, honey,
I'd love to be with you
Oh, that I'd be so doggone good
And I'd love to be with you
If only I could do
you
